Join 352Creates for our Festival of Creativity this spring, March 21-27, 2022.

Monday, March 21

Create with the Community: Mural Painting

 352Walls is collaborating with 352Creates for a community mural project. The community is invited to help paint a large scale mural  with local artist, Pam Valcante. She will guide you the mural making process. This project will start on Monday, March 21 and go through Sunday, March 27. Painting will be daily from 2-6pm, weather permitting. Please bring the following items : water, snacks, a hat, an old towel, sunglasses, and one 2” brush. Make sure you wear old shoes and clothing that you don’t  mind getting paint on. 

Time: 2pm-6pm, daily

Location: The wall is on the corner of NW 8th Avenue and NW 1 Street,  behind the former Walker Furniture Store.

Create with the Community: Mixed-Media Mural Making In-Person Workshop with GrowHub

UF Health Arts in Medicine is hosting a mixed media mural making day at Grow Hub on Tuesday, March 22 from 10AM-12PM.  Join us in this community art making experience, as we continue to beautify the grounds.  

Time: 10am-12pm

Wednesday, March 23

Create In Place: Songwriting Online Workshop with local musicians and songwriters, Jason Hedges and Austin Brockner. 

Local musicians, singers, songwriters and Arts In Medicine Musicians in Residence, Jason Hedges and Austin Brockner, will lead you through a live video workshop on songwriting. 

Time: 2:00-2:45pm

Thursday, March 24

Create In Place: Lunch-and-Learn Playwriting Online Workshop with award-winning playwright, Michael Bobbitt, Cedar Key resident.

Renowned off-Broadway and regional playwright Michael Presley Bobbitt, author of the smash hit plays, “Sunset Village” and “Florida Man” presents an interactive presentation on how to write a play. From character development to plot construction and narrative techniques for compelling storytelling, Bobbitt will present an overview on everything you need to start writing plays. His unique, irreverent, Florida-centric point of view will incorporate stories from his travels and adventures in writing for the theater.

Friday, March 25

Create with the Community: Concert night- Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Tribute band at Cypress and Groove

Enjoy live music by HEAVY PETTY, Gainesville’s Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers tribute band and have fun at your favorite neighborhood brewery. Fun for the whole family.

Time: 6:30-9pm. The band starts at 7pm

Create with the Community: Pop-Up Art & Craft Market at Curia on The Drag

Spend the day outside browsing 20 local art and craft vendors. Enjoy live music and performances, try a free art activity or workshop and eat yummy vegan food. Fun for the whole family.
